For Bobby, flowers were never just petals and stems — they were a way to bring joy, creativity, and connection to life. That love for blooms began early, in his mother’s garden back in Lockport, New York. While most kids avoided chores, Bobby found himself drawn to the rows of flowers, weeding not out of duty but curiosity. He’d pick blossoms, make small bouquets for his mom, and even enter flower arrangements in the 4-H fair, earning ribbons before he was a teenager.
Years later, that same curiosity would resurface during a challenging season of transition. After stepping away from ministry work and starting new ventures, Bobby decided in January 2005 to turn his lifelong love of flowers into something more. He printed his first set of business cards, took Valentine’s orders from friends and neighbors, and Brew’s Creations in Floral was born. The early days weren’t easy — filled with trial, error, and even a few setbacks — but each experience grew both his skill and his resolve. By 2013, when Bobby and his (late) wife Jan opened their first shop together, he found new energy, vision, and confidence that continues to guide the business today.
Bobby’s creative process is as personal as his story. Every arrangement starts with listening — asking questions, learning about the person receiving the flowers, and finding ways to make each design unique. His philosophy is simple: never make the same thing twice. Brew’s Creations isn’t about templates or trends — it’s about crafting something one-of-a-kind that captures the heart of a moment.
Together, Bobby and his new wife Mary infuse their shop with creativity, laughter, and a dash of quirkiness. They thrive on collaboration, whether designing weddings, crafting joyful bouquets, or helping customers celebrate life’s milestones. Their goal? To create flowers that make people say “wow.” Blooms that stop you in your tracks with their color, texture, and imagination — leaving you full of joy and gratitude.
Today, after nearly two decades of officially designing, Bobby continues to find wonder in every arrangement. His advice to anyone chasing a passion: Don’t fear new beginnings. Keep learning, keep experimenting, and give yourself time to grow.

Life happens outside of 9-to-5, and so do we. Our flexible hours mean we’re here when you need us most — because special moments don’t always stick to a schedule. Most weekdays we are open until 8:00pm, but that doesn’t mean we are closed to your orders.

Brew in the Community
Brew’s Creations in Floral was honored to be one of 14 floral artists selected to participate in Art in Bloom at the Grand Rapids Art Museum.
For this special event, each artist was paired with a piece of art from the museum’s collection and challenged to design a floral arrangement that reflected and complemented the work. Inspired by their assigned artwork, Bobby Brewer created a unique arrangement that captured the piece’s essence and brought it to life through flowers. Visitors were able to view the installation, meet Bobby and hear more about the creative process behind their design.
